Born in Iowa, lived in many states and England, now lives in Atlanta, Georgia USA

 

Claudia Jernigan was an artist from the first time she picked up a pencil, living in many states and England while her father moved with the Air Force. She mastered calligraphy there at age 14 and loved it. Always drawing, she finally landed in Georgia, and took on the challenge of watercolor too. She did a stint in corporate advertising but has always had some sort of art going on in her life. Now working out of her home studio, she’s been drawing, painting, doing calligraphy and exhibiting for several years, taking on whatever rewarding commissions and fun work comes her way.   And she listens to whatever moves her to create.

Her BA is from Arizona and Georgia State Universities in Art & English.  Claudia has combined self-teaching and occasional study with incredible artists through the years.  She continues to teach and learn about her art every day.  Currently, she paints at her home studio and in the wilderness camping out whenever she can.  She recently put together her own little frame shop to accommodate herself and her clients to complete the circle of creativity.
